Dear Sir/Madam,
We have the honour to
draw your kind attention to the fact that the
Indian chemical Society is one of the oldest
learned bodies of the chemists of our country
which was founded in 1924 by
Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, the
doyen of chemical sciences in India.
The main objective of this Society is to promote
ever-expanding knowledge in Chemical Sciences
among the aspiring chemists of our country in
all possible ways, which it has been pursuing
ever since its inception with tremendous
enthusiasm in spite of various adverse
conditions. In this endeavour the Society has
been publishing a monthly journal entitled
“The Journal of the Indian Chemical Society”
which embraces original research papers and
review articles on topics of chemical sciences,
technology and engineering. The journal also
includes articles on chemical education. It has
long been recognized as a highly reputed
international journal widely circulated in India
and abroad and has been serving immensely the
world community of Chemists and related branches
of Science.
It is heartening to note that
many foreign universities and research
institutions are regular subscribers of our
journal. In this context we strongly feel that
every Indian University/College/Research
Institute having a Chemistry Department should
subscribe a copy of this journal.
We, therefore, request you to
extend your kind co-operation by subscribing the
Journal of Indian Chemical
Society
for 2008,
if you have not done it so far. The existing
subscribers are urgently requested to send their
renewal order immediately. The price of each
volume (12 monthly issues) is Rs.3000/- only.
The payment must be made through
DD to be drawn on any bank in
favour of “Indian
Chemical Society”, payable at Kolkata.
Back
volumes of our Journal are also available from
1992. If you are interested to purchase such
back volumes, kindly write to us separately.
Thanking you,
Yours truly,
Professor P. L. Majumder
Honorary Secretary
